Re: "From the Heart Fund" initiative and town hall meeting

Dr. Ira Chasnoff, grew up in Bay City, Texas, attended medical school and practice medicine in the greater Chicago area most of his life. After the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, Dr. Chasnoff wanted to do something to help everyone in Matagorda County. Dr. Chasnoff created a non-profit organization and has launched a behavioral health initiative to assist residents of Matagorda County. I have received information directly from Dr. Chasnoffs "From the Heart Fund" that explains his initiative and how his experience and expertise can help everyone in Matagorda County.

Town hall meetings will be held across Matagorda County for Dr. Chasnoff to present his initiative, in his own words, to the residents of Matagorda County. Dr. Chasnoff has made a personal appearance before the Tidehaven ISD Board of Trustees to explain his initiative and answer questions from the trustees. Dr. Chasnoffs presentation was well received and the Board of Trustees believes that this program will help our students and staff members better meet the emotional and behavioral needs of our students.

I am attaching a link to the informational flyer and the press release, both from Dr. Chasnoff, in an effort to communicate to everyone what Tidehaven is doing to better meet the emotional needs of our students and staff members.

If you can, please attend this town hall meeting with Dr. Ira Chasnoff on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 6:00 P.M. in the Tidehaven High School cafeteria. If your schedule does not allow you to attend our own town hall meeting, Dr. Chasnoff is hosting town hall meetings in Palacios ISD on February 18th and in Bay City ISD on February 20th.
